Two textbooks received the 2022 textbook awards

The TAA is a national organization dedicated to supporting authors of textbooks and colleges. Each year, the organization’s annual awards draw submissions from publishers and authors everywhere United States. Edited by Zovio, Organizational development: an action-research approach by Laura Beerma received the 2022 Textbook Excellence Award, and Introduction to labor law by Gwen Seaquist received the 2022 Most Promising New Textbook Award.

The judges described the book as “an asset to higher education” and “very effective”. Zovio’s second award-winning manual is Introduction to labor law by Gwen Seaquist (Ithaca College). The law textbook received an award 2022 Most Promising New Textbook Award, which recognizes excellence in first-edition textbooks and learning materials. The judges noted that the text “takes the best of textbook writing and puts it into one book. The content is presented in an engaging way that will make it easy for even the most hesitant learner to learn about the subject.” “.
