Financial due diligence firm Knight Transaction Services (Knight TS) has announced that Umber Irshad and Jathusan Naguleswaran have joined the team as deputy directors, as the company celebrates its first anniversary.
Knight TS, which supports owner-operators, business acquirers, banks and private equity firms through the deal process, also achieved double its revenue target during its first year of trading – with 26 deals closed since its launch in June 2021.
Umber Irshad joins Knight TS from EY where she spent five years as a partner and senior partner. Jathusan previously held positions with Thompson Wright Accountants and Dains Accountants.
Founded by Hayley Brightmore, with associate directors Erin Berry and Jennifer Serridge, Knight offers a range of services to SMEs, including buy-side due diligence, supplier due diligence and supplier assistance.

Jason Gray has joined Knight Frank’s Manchester office as a senior partner in the commercial pricing team with a mission to grow the regional team and grow the client portfolio.
With 26 years working in the North West real estate market, Jason has unparalleled experience in business rates, initially practicing with Gerald Eve and later with the Altus Group.
Jason handles all rating matters and manages rating advisory services for his clients across a wide range of property types, with a particular focus on office, manufacturing, distribution and general industrial sectors. He also specializes in the licensing and leisure sector representing taxpayers occupying public houses, hotels, golf courses and sports stadiums.
He provides strategic rating advice on client portfolios, covering rate management, call strategy and non-call issues, including advice on strategies to minimize empty rate liabilities.

H&H Land & Estates has appointed two forestry specialists as it expands its offering to meet growing demand for forestry services in the North of England.
Sarah Radcliffe will lead the division as Head of Forests and Forestry, while Will Livesey will take on the role of Forestry and Environmental Advisor for South Lakes.
Sarah started her career over 14 years ago as a forestry officer before becoming a field manager for the Forestry Commission. His primary responsibility will be to provide professional advice to clients on all forestry and forestry matters, in particular government programs and legislative requirements, preparation and submission of forest establishment projects, sales management, planting and harvesting. maintenance, obtaining necessary permits and subsidies, and carrying out assessments, mapping, and reports.

As part of his role, Will will be primarily responsible for preparing and submitting environmental and forestry program applications, including logging permits and environmental impact assessments. He will also be responsible for undertaking ecological and forestry studies, producing ecological assessments in relation to planning applications and renewable energy development projects, and preparing accurate and detailed plans and maps using of specialized GIS software.
Operating from the Kendal office, Will will also be part of the wider forestry and environmental teams that significantly enhance the company’s ability to deliver new and existing instruction in this area.

Private barrister, Sarah Milner, was named the last president of the Rochdale Law Association, which was established in 1905 to provide legal assistance and advice to locals.

John Whitehurst joins as Asset Manager to work alongside the existing team. After five years, he joined the real estate consultancy firm JLL where he was a senior surveyor in its team at the Manchester industrial agency.
