American Bar Association Appoints Attorney Ayesha Mehdi to Leadership Positions for Healthcare Fraud and Compliance, Diversity and Inclusion Group

LAS VEGAS — Spencer Fane’s associate attorney, Ayesha Mehdi, JD, MHSA, has been appointed by the American Bar Association (ABA) to chair the Fraud and Compliance Interest Group of its Health Law and Vice Section -President Diversity and Inclusion.

In these leadership roles, Mehdi will lead efforts to improve diversity, promote justice and create growth opportunities for ABA members. Mehdi was previously vice president of the Fraud and Compliance group.

The ABA’s Health Law Section represents clients from all segments of the health care industry, including physicians, hospitals and other institutional providers, teaching and research organizations, managed care organizations and other third party payers, pharmaceutical companies and device manufacturers.

The ABA Diversity and Inclusion Center fosters collaboration, coordination and communication to advance the ABA’s goal of eliminating bias and improving diversity and inclusion overall of the Association, the legal profession and the justice system.
